Eligibility Criteria for Xiamen University CSC Scholarship:

1. Applicants should be citizens of a country other than China.

2. Applicants should be in good physical and mental health.

3. Candidates should have gained the Chinese proficiency of HSK Level 4 for applying in Chinese- taught master’s or doctoral programs.

4. Candidates should fulfill the admission requirements of the universities where they are applying.

5. Candidates applying for bachelor’s programs should have excellent academic record of high school diploma and should be under 25 years old.

6. Candidates applying for master’s programs should have excellent academic record of bachelor’s degree and should be under 35 years old.

7. Candidates applying for Doctoral programs should have excellent academic record of master’s degree and should be under 40 years old.

8. Applicants who receive Chinese Government Scholarship cannot avail any other scholarships funded by Chinese governments of different levels.

9. Applicants must pay a USD 39 registration fee.

Documents required for CSC Scholarship:

1. Recommendation letter (if available).

2. HSK test certificate is required for the applicants of Bachelor’s Chinese Degree.

3. Certificate of student status/Certificate of high school or Graduation of bachelor’s or master’s degree.

4. Academic transcript of bachelor’s or master’s program (if required).

5. Proof of Language proficiency (English and Chinese)/ Medium of Instruction (English).

6. Pre-admission documents.

7. A study plan proposal.

8. Samples of your own artwork for applying in majors related to art or design.

9. CV (if required).

10. Personal Statement.

11. Bachelor’s program applicants have to mention about their application motivation, understanding of China and Nanjing University, academic competence, and study plan in China.

12. Motivation letter/statement of purpose (if any).

13. Recent Medical certificate with a copy of Foreigner Physical Examination Form completed and signed by the physician.

14. List of published papers in professional or scientific journals.

15. Additional Documents for Special Circumstances.

16. Copy of Valid Passport (Photo and Information Page).

17. Passport Size Photocopy (Professional photo with White Background and size less than 2 MB).

18. University Admission Offer Letter (If Already Issued).
