Benefits of the Western Sydney University Scholarship in Australia:

•The researchers will get an annual stipend of $31,500 (AUD) per annum for three years.
•The stipend will be tax-free.
•The scholarships include fee waivers for the selected candidates.
•The selected candidates are permitted to work 10 hours a week legally.
•Scholarship holders can get up to four weeks of annual leave per year of the award.

Scholarship Exclusions:

•The candidates have to buy their tickets on their own and no relocation fee will be provided.
•The health insurance of the students will not be covered.
•No accommodation will be provided however the stipend provided is more than enough for these
matters.
•The visa processing fee will not be reimbursed.

Eligibility of the Western Sydney University Research Scholarships:

1. The scholarships are open for both domestic and international students.

2. The selected candidates must be onshore in Australia at the scholarship commencement date.

3. International students must have valid visas till the date of completion of the granted program.

4. The candidates are eligible to apply for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Professional Doctorate (DCA, DCR, or EdD), and Master of Philosophy (MPhil).

5. The candidates who completed their previous qualifications outside of Australia have to provide evidence of English language proficiency (IELTS/MOI).

6. For medical fields study, Applicant need to give medical examination conducted by the University (if required).

7. Applicants must pay a USD 39 registration fee.

Documents Required Western Sydney University Scholarships in Australia:

1. Recommendation letter (if available).

2. Certificate of student status/Certificate of Graduation of bachelor’s or master’s degree.

3. Academic transcript of bachelor’s or master’s program (if required).

4. Proof of Language proficiency (English)/ Medium of Instruction (English).

5. CV (if required).

6. Motivation letter/statement of purpose (if any).

7. Additional Documents for Special Circumstances.

8. Copy of Valid Passport (Photo and Information Page) or certified evidence of residency status (for Australian permanent residents only) must be provided to get the scholarship.

9. Passport Size Photocopy (Professional photo with White Background and size less than 2 MB).

10. University Admission Offer Letter (If Already Issued).

11. A letter of support from the applicant’s proposed supervisor must be attached.

12. The candidates have to carefully submit a research proposal that clearly identifies their area of research interest.

13. The applicant has to provide a project title and project description.

14. If it is applicable, then the candidate has to provide evidence of relevant employment or experience directly related to research training.

15. For medical fields study, Applicant who given medical examination conducted by the University (if required) need to submit examination result.

Scholarship Deadline:

Registration deadline for 2025 has passed.

• The registration for 2026 is open with a tentative deadline in September 2025.
