The Weidenfeld Hoffmann Scholarship, a transformative study in UK opportunity, invites international students to pursue Master’s and MPhil programs at the University of Oxford, ranked #3 globally (QS World University Rankings 2025). Established in 2015 to honor Lord Weidenfeld’s 95th birthday, this Oxford international scholarships program, managed by the Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Trust, engages 30+ scholars annually from developing and emerging economies. As a global change catalyst, it fosters a visionary academic odyssey, offering English-taught programs in Public Policy, Development Studies, Global Health, Law, and Environmental Governance to drive leadership excellence and cross-cultural collaboration.

The Weidenfeld Hoffmann Scholarship empowers scholars to address global challenges through impact-driven research. Scholars study at Oxford’s 39 departments, including the Blavatnik School and Said Business School, collaborating with experts on projects in sustainable agriculture, health policy, and social justice. Since 2015, the program has supported 300+ alumni, with 29% leading global development initiatives or securing roles in international organizations post-graduation. Enhanced by a Leadership Programme, scholars engage in mentorship workshops, policy seminars, and networking events, preparing them to shape societal progress in their home countries. Funding from the Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Trust, Louis Dreyfus Foundation, Chevening, and Hualan Education Group, with a £9 million donation from André Hoffmann in 2017, ensures world-class education.

The scholarship promotes cross-cultural synergy. Scholars connect with peers, faculty, and global experts from over 60 countries, participating in leadership forums, cultural exchanges, and community projects through Oxford’s Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Trust networks. The inclusive framework aligns with the UK’s global education vision, fostering diverse perspectives. Campus events, like Oxford’s Encaenia Ceremony, International Cultural Festival, or Rhodes House Lectures, enrich the dynamic academic experience, with 35% of scholars forming global professional networks. Oxford’s partnerships with 250+ institutions in USA, Canada, India, and Australia enhance exchange programs and research collaborations.

Studying in Oxford, scholars embark on a visionary academic odyssey, exploring landmarks like Radcliffe Camera, Bodleian Library, or Ashmolean Museum, immersing in the UK’s cultural vibrancy. Events like London’s Notting Hill Carnival, Oxford Literary Festival, or Edinburgh Festival Fringe deepen engagement. Oxford’s 1,200-hectare campus, with advanced labs, historic libraries, and student hubs, supports a global academic immersion, enhanced by connectivity to London, Paris, and Amsterdam. Oxford’s safe, historic environment (QS Best Student Cities 2025) complements academic pursuits.
