Vienna Bio center Summer School is a research-oriented fully funded summer program in Austria. The 9-week summer research program enables extraordinary and dexterous students to research life sciences under the supervision of the world’s best mentors in one of Europe’s leading research centers. The program provides a dynamic and vibrant scientific environment to talented students who are eager toward research and development-oriented scientific innovations. 

The best of this Vienna summer school is that fellow students are allowed to come to Europe for free and learn the use of the latest technologies and work in the best labs in the world. The Vienna Bio center is enriched with a diverse range of research projects. The summer student program is designed in a way in which each fellow would be allotted a faculty member with whom the fellow will closely and independently.

The Vienna Bio center is an accumulation of Europe’s five leading research centers. This program allows exceptional undergraduate students to start their practical experience at these top research institutions. All these research projects that are being continued in the Bio center are related to the latest issues regarding molecular biology, neuroscience, immunology, bioinformatics, RNA, stem cells, biochemistry, etc. The participants of this fully funded summer school take part in all the practical lab work as well as the lab meetings and the journal clubs. 

In this VBC Summer School, the undergraduates not only gain practical knowledge of science but also grasp the true ideas of cutting-edge research infrastructure. In addition, the program fellows get to know the silk-stacking, liberal, and propertied culture of Europe by staying there. To make the students more cooperative and collaborative, the Vienna Bio center comes up with many social events like the organization of referrals and symposiums. The fellows get the opportunity to interact with each other in a friendly environment.

•The summer program will start on the last Friday of June and will finish on the last Friday of August or August 31 each year.

Vienna Bio center Summer School Benefits:

•The students will be fully accommodated.
•A well-furnished modern room with a shared bathroom and kitchen will be provided.
•Each participant will be awarded a nine-week stipend of 1400 Euros.
•Each student will be given a free travel pass for the scholarship period.
•Medical insurance will be fully covered.
•All the travel costs to and from Vienna will be reimbursed.
•Students will enjoy an opening dinner, visits to places in Vienna trips to Heurigen, and final summer school celebrations along with the regular Friday Evening Social Hours.

Eligibility Criteria Vienna Bio center Summer School in Austria:

•The participant can be from any gender and nationality.
•To be eligible, applicants must have completed at least 2 years of university studies by June 30 and meet one of the following criteria:
•Currently in the 3rd year of a 4-year BA or BSc (Hons) in a Life Science subject.
•In the 4th year of a 4-year BA or BSc (Hons) in a Life Science subject, with plans to apply for a master’s program (this will be verified).
•In the 1st year of a 2-year MSc in a Life Science subject.
•In the 2nd year of a US undergraduate bachelor’s degree in a Life Science subject.
•In the 2nd year of a 4-year BTech in a Life Science subject (India).
•The student must be studying life sciences.
•The applicant must have a good academic record.
•The students must be proficient in English.
•The students either have three months of research experience or have gained training as part of
the study program.
