Benefits of UBD Graduate Research Scholarship:

•There will be no tuition fees, registration, and acceptance fees at the Universiti Brunei Darussalam.
•A subsistence allowance of BND 2,200.00 (Brunei Dollars) per month for 3 years will be given.
•Free on-campus accommodation will be included.
•One-time incoming and outgoing economy class air tickets will be provided to candidates who do not live in Brunei Darussalam.
•Funding for overseas research or conference presentations up to BND 3,000.00 will be included.

Eligibility Criteria for UBD Graduate Research Scholarship:

Applicants applying:

1. Should not be more than 30 years old while applying.

2. Must have a master’s Degree in the relevant field from an internationally recognized university.

3. Should fulfill UBD’s admission requirements which include English proficiency proof (IELTS/MOI).

4. Have to submit a high-quality research proposal.

5. Must have received their degree within 5 years of starting their scholarship at UBD.

6. Applicants must pay a USD 39 registration fee.

1. Recommendation letter (if available).

2. Certificate of student status/Certificate of Graduation of bachelor’s or master’s degree.

3. Academic transcript of bachelor’s or master’s program (if required).

4. Proof of Language proficiency (English)/ Medium of Instruction (English).

5. CV (if required).

6. Motivation letter/statement of purpose (if any).

7. Additional Documents for Special Circumstances.

8. Copy of Valid Passport (Photo and Information Page).

9. Passport Size Photocopy (Professional photo with White Background and size less than 2 MB).

10. University Admission Offer Letter (If Already Issued).

11. A letter of security clearance from your home country.

12. A permission letter from the employer if you’re working somewhere.

13. Brunei Government employees have to submit printed forms through their Ministry.
