TWAS-TUBITAK fellowship in Turkey is a fully funded fellowship for international scholars from developing countries. This fellowship program is a golden opportunity for individuals who want to conduct PhD research in the field of natural and related applied sciences departments. They will also work in laboratories of both public and private universities of Turkey and Research Centers.

Both TWAS and TUBİTAK organizations have collaborated to fund this research fellowship program. The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) based in Italy supports excellence in scientific research and sustainable prosperity through diplomatic efforts. The organization encourages sharing of knowledge and experience to address the main problems faced by developing nations. TÜBİTAK is the principal organization for directing, financing, and coordinating research in Turkey according to national goals and priorities.

The field of this international fellowship includes Agricultural Sciences; Structural, Cell and Molecular Biology; Biological Systems and Organisms; Medical and Health Sciences incl. Neurosciences; Chemical Sciences; Engineering Sciences; Astronomy, Space and Earth Sciences; Mathematical Sciences; Physics; and Computing and Information Technology. Eligibility Criteria for TWAS-TÜBİTAK Fellowship in Turkey:

Candidates applying should:

•Check the list of eligible countries.
•Be permanent residents of a developing country in the South.
•Not be older than 35 years of age.
•It is a sandwich research visit for students who are registered in PhD program in their home country or another developing country except Turkey.
•Applicants should have passed the PhD qualifying exam or should be in the final stage of their PhD.
•Submit a letter from your PhD thesis advisor who should confirm that you are fully engaged in the
research laboratory work for your Ph.D. thesis
•Have good English as the language of instruction will be English. Not have a visa for both temporary or permanent residence in Turkey or any other developed country.
•Not already living in Turkey.
•Have a master’s or equivalent degree in natural and related applied sciences.
•Be registered to a doctoral degree in natural and related applied sciences in a university of their home country or another developing country.
•Not work on other assignments during the fellowship.
•Cover the expenses of their family by themselves.
•Not have received this fellowship before.
•Return to their home country after completing this fellowship program.
