The Thomas Jefferson Scholarship Program (TJSP) is a fully funded student exchange program in the USA, providing students with a unique academic experience abroad. This program develops participants’ leadership and professional skills while fostering cultural and personal growth. Through coursework and interactive activities, students expand their global perspectives and prepare for future careers.

This is a non-degree program that allows students to gain hands-on experience without earning credits towards a degree. TJSP covers tuition, travel, health insurance, accommodation, and a monthly stipend, helping students make the most of their time in the U.S. This enriching program encourages students to contribute fresh insights upon their return home.

This is a fully funded scholarship program supported by the U.S. Department of State and implemented by IREX. Selection is open and based on merit, providing participants with valuable educational and cultural experiences. The program’s application process is straightforward, with a deadline of December.

Financial Support of the TJSP Non-Degree Program:

This US scholarship covers:

•J-1 visa support.
•Round-trip travel.

•Limited book allowance.
•Access to alumni networking and training opportunities.

Eligibility Criteria of the Thomas Jefferson Scholarship Program (TJSP):

•Must be a Tunisian citizen and currently living in Tunisia.
•Enrolled full-time in an undergraduate program in Tunisia, in good academic standing.
•Eligible if in the second year or above (first and final-year students are ineligible).
•Architecture students: eligible in years 2-5; engineering students: eligible in years 2-4.
•Able to secure a U.S. J-1 visa.
•At least 18 years old.
•Committed to returning to Tunisia for two years post-program.
•Achieve a minimum Duolingo score of 100.
•Complete the academic year prior in good standing.
