Stanford University Summer Fellowship in USA finds potential students and connects them to Research programs of the University. This fully funded fellowship is designed to provide real world research experience to students from all over the world. It promotes a culture of respect, equality and empowerment among individuals. SURF research interns will get a chance to participate in a graduate school preparatory program including a coding experience.
The summer program for undergraduate students intends to develop a community and create a group of graduate engineers who can promote diverse ideas and experiences among engineering and science students. Students are retained in scientific research and their interest in STEM fields is increased when they are practically involved in research process. SURF research fellowship for undergraduate students provides a platform for conducting scientific research and serves as a ladder for engineering graduate courses.
Stanford SURF program provides a list of Host Faculty, Engineering departments name, description of projects and the desired knowledge, skills, and abilities that should be possessed by successful SURF Fellows. During this summer program, interns will have industry visits and a trip around the Bay Area. They will get a chance to participate in community-building activities and a research symposium. Fellows will get mentorship throughout the program.

Eligibility Criteria for Stanford University Summer Fellowship:
Applicants applying:
•Should be at least 18 years old.
•Should be currently enrolled full-time in a university in the United States or its territories.
•Can be U.S. domestic undocumented and Documented students.
•Can be refugees.
•Can be first-generation or low socioeconomic status international students who are enrolled full-time in universities outside of the United States.
•Should have a good academic record with a GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher.
•Should be committed to pursue graduate study toward a PhD in an engineering field.
•Must have completed minimum two semesters or three quarters of their degree program and must have at least one full semester remaining of their undergraduate education at the end of this summer program. Can not be enrolled as master’s students.
•Must be fully available for the program from June 21-August 16.
•Should not be enrolled in any summer courses, internships, or be employed while attending this
program.
