•A tuition fee will be provided.

•A monthly stipend of up to 117,000 yen will be provided.
•Transportation allowance in Japan will be covered.
Benefits of the MEXT Research Scholarship in Japan (master’s & PhD):
•A tuition fee will be provided.
•Airfare allowance will be provided.
•An exam fee will also be provided.
•For master’s students, a monthly stipend of up to 144,000 yen will be provided.
•For doctoral students, a monthly stipend of up to 145,000 yen will be provided.
•For non-regular students or preparatory education, a monthly stipend of up to 143,000 yen will be
provided.
•Transportation allowance in Japan will be covered.
Eligibility Criteria of MEXT Scholarship in Japan:
1. A candidate must be from a country that has diplomatic relations with Japan.
2. A candidate should be good in health.
3. A candidate must be born on or after April 2, 1985.
4. For bachelor or Undergraduate Students, a candidate must have completed 12 years of education.
5. For a master’s degree, a candidate must have a bachelor’s degree.
6. A candidate should have a master’s degree while applying for the doctoral degree program.
7. Applicants must pay a USD 39 registration fee.
Required Documents:
You must have all the required documents. Otherwise, your application will be rejected.
1. Recommendation letter (if available).
2. Certificate of student status/Certificate of high school or Graduation of bachelor’s or master’s degree.
3. Academic transcript of high school or bachelor’s or master’s program (if required).
4. Proof of Language proficiency (English)/ Medium of Instruction (English).
5. CV (if required).
6. Motivation letter/statement of purpose (if any).
7. Additional Documents for Special Circumstances.
8. Copy of Valid Passport (Photo and Information Page).
9. Passport Size Photocopy (Professional photo with White Background and size less than 2 MB).
10. University Admission Offer Letter (If Already Issued).
11. Medical Certificate.
