Kyoto University Summer Internship Program in Japan is an exciting opportunity for students to conduct their own research under the supervision of a faculty member at iCeMS (Institute for Integrated Cell-Material Sciences). During this 5-week internship in Japan for international students, mentors will help interns in achieving their goals and advancing the science.
iCeMS internship program for undergraduate students is a great chance for interns who want to enter graduate school at Kyoto University. The program will also be helpful for students in beginning their future careers. This international internship program is intended for students who are passionate about developing new materials inspired by the phenomena of life and who are interested in exploring the intersection of life and matter.
This fully funded internship will include an orientation session. Interns will engage in basic research activities in the host laboratory. They will observe and participate in conducting experiments. At the end of this summer research internship program, participants will give a final presentation which can be presented as a PowerPoint or poster presentation. Student will have to submit an outcome report within 3 weeks after completing this internship program.

Eligibility Criteria for Kyoto University Summer Internship Program in Japan:
•Applicants should be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree at a university outside of Japan.
•Applicants should have interest in integrated research combining cell biology, chemistry, mathematics, and materials science.
•Applicants should plan to complete a minimum 2 semesters of their undergraduate study after completing this program.
•Applicants should be interested in pursuing graduate school at Kyoto University as members of an iCeMS laboratory.
