International Youth Conference in Japan is a fully funded conference for young individuals who want to engage in Biological Diversity work. More than 100 young people from all over the world are expected to attend this international conference in Yokohama, Japan, work together, and exchange experiences related to their work and passion for biodiversity. The International Youth Conference on Biodiversity in aims to give the youth of the world the tools they need to actively share their knowledge of biodiversity across a range of sectors and initiatives that will bring about revolutionary change by taking a holistic approach.
This IYCB Japan, which lasts a week, will emphasize how young people can be change agents for biodiversity’s benefit. It will give youth the chance to forge relationships and networks with other national and regional participants from a variety of sectors and start a movement to promote revolutionary change that is necessary for the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework to succeed. The youth conference held will motivate the next generation of leaders and global youth to work toward biodiversity conservation and sustainable use for a healthy environment and society.
The Global Youth Biodiversity Network (GYBN) is an international network of youth organizations and individuals from all over the world who have come together with the shared objective of protecting Earth’s natural resources and halting the loss of biodiversity. Participants of the GBYN conference and their partners will get practical experience working with a whole-of-government and whole-of-society approach. The Plan of Action on Subnational Governments, Cities, and Other Local Authorities for Biodiversity (2023–2030) will also be supported by the meeting.
During this Global Youth Biodiversity Network Conference, young leaders will participate in creative sessions and build projects to raise their voices, stimulate innovation, and drive meaningful action for a sustainable future in harmony with nature through music, art, culture, discussions, and workshops. This will not be a traditional and tedious conference, rather there are so many exciting activities to keep you engaged throughout these 7 days of the convention.
