Indo-Pacific Leadership Lab is a fully funded leadership program for aspiring leaders in three different countries. The East-West Centre and the Japan Foundation have jointly launched the Indo-Pacific Leadership Lab, which is intended for motivated leaders who wish to enhance their leadership skills and make a bigger difference in a variety of fields, such as academia, civil society, business, government, and non-profit organizations. This international leadership program is for those who are prepared to ask thoughtful questions, listen intently, and gain knowledge from practice and experience in the real world.

During this Indo-Pacific leadership program, leaders will be concentrating on a certain interrelated societal issue. They will participate in a year-long program that will consist of three one-week in-person seminars held in Honolulu, Hawaii; Suva, Fiji; and Tokyo, Japan, along with fifteen other rising leaders from across the Indo-Pacific region. Along with examining existing solutions to the problem, leaders will investigate community-based strategies and how they relate to local and regional policies. Under the supervision of problem-solving experts, community leaders, and mentors in leadership, participants will identify significant gaps and investigate and test solutions in their local communities.

This short-term leadership program will concentrate on leadership approaches to reduce the risks and challenges associated with climate change and crisis. As this is a hybrid program it will start online in October, have a live session in Honolulu, Hawaii in late, then a second seminar in Suva, Fiji, and the last meeting in Tokyo, Japan. Over the year, leaders will evaluate plans for climate adaptation and investigate the strategies employed by local communities to tackle the challenges and overcome the obstacles.

After completing the Lab, leaders will possess enhanced abilities to assist communities in communicating their adaptation objectives and the underlying vulnerability assessments, as well as in developing innovative solutions to address climate change. This is a fully sponsored leadership program in the US, Fiji, and Japan which has no registration or participation fees. You will be worry-free from airfare, accommodation, and meals.
