Iceland Writers Retreat Award is an international writing competition where writers can get a chance to win a fully funded Trip to Iceland. Anyone who loves to write is welcome to apply to the Iceland Writers Retreat. Other than literary fiction, nonfiction and memoir, participants with an interest in plays or poetry will also benefit from the workshops. 

A two-day “Relax & Write” extension is available which will give the candidates more time to go on tours, explore the town, buy souvenirs, or write at a nearby café. This event will include a welcome dinner, buffet lunches, refreshments during breaks of the sessions, live music and cocktail receptions at fascinating locations in the city.

Participation in Global Writers Retreat Award in Iceland is open to all individuals. If you are interested in improving your writing abilities, you can benefit most out of it without the condition of publishing a book already. In this international writing competition, every small-group session will provide you with inspiration and knowledge, regardless of your writing goals and publishing history. 

Iceland Writers award intends to help writers improve their work, introduce them to well-known authors and provide them with the chance to interact with like-minded individuals. During this international conference for writers, participants will also be introduced to Iceland’s vibrant literary culture. Eligibility Criteria for Iceland Writers Retreat Award:

•Candidates applying should be 18 years old or above.
•Winners should prove that they are unable to attend the conference without this award due to financial constraints.
•Candidates should have an interest in developing their writing skills.
•The writings should be related to the writing type of the competition like literary fiction, nonfiction,
memoir.
•Family members of the judges can not apply for this award.
•Candidates who have already attended Iceland Writers Retreat are not eligible to apply.
