The Meta4.0 Scholarship, a premier study manufacturing 4.0 Europe initiative, equips international students for a two-year master’s in manufacturing 4.0, focusing on Digital Manufacturing, Clean Manufacturing, Sustainable Manufacturing, and Smart Manufacturing. Funded by the European Union’s Erasmus+ Programme, this Meta4.0 master’s program is delivered by six top universities: École Centrale de Lyon and Mines Saint-Étienne (France), Politecnico di Torino (Italy), University of Ljubljana (Slovenia), Technical University of Chemnitz (Germany), and Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) (Norway). As a global industry vanguard, Meta4.0 addresses Industry 4.0 challenges, fostering a multicultural tech odyssey to shape the future of advanced manufacturing.
The Meta4.0 master’s programs integrate production engineering, materials science, digitalization, sustainability, artificial intelligence, nanotechnologies, smart sensors, and industrial automation. Year 1 begins in Saint-Étienne, France at École Centrale de Lyon, covering manufacturing technologies and process engineering. Semester 2 at Politecnico di Torino, Italy, emphasizes materials science and engineering design. Year 2 offers specialization: Digital Manufacturing at NTNU, Norway (e.g., modeling and simulation); Clean Manufacturing at Ljubljana, Slovenia (e.g., micromanufacturing); Sustainable Manufacturing at Mines Saint-Étienne, France (e.g., green processes); or Intelligent Manufacturing at Chemnitz, Germany (e.g., augmented reality in manufacturing). The final semester includes a five-month internship and master’s thesis, often with industry giants like Siemens or Airbus, earning a joint or double degree. Taught in English, the program achieves a 95% employability rate within 12 months in roles like manufacturing engineers, smart factory consultants, or sustainability specialists.
The Meta4.0 Scholarship fosters global industry networking. Scholars engage in hands-on labs, industry projects, and internships, accessing smart factories and simulation labs. Integration events in Saint-Étienne, including seminars and company visits, build connections with European manufacturers. With over 1 million green manufacturing jobs projected by 2030, Meta4.0 addresses the 70% skills gap reported by European firms, with 15% of graduates launching tech startups in Industry 4.0. The mobility scheme across France, Italy, Slovenia, Germany, and Norway enhances cross-cultural expertise, strengthening the global manufacturing ecosystem.
Studying in Saint-Étienne, Turin, Ljubljana, Chemnitz, and Gjøvik, scholars experience a multicultural tech odyssey. They explore Turin’s Mole Antonelliana, Ljubljana’s Triple Bridge, Chemnitz’s Red Tower, or Norway’s Nidaros Cathedral, immersing in Europe’s heritage. Events like Turin’s Salone del Gusto, Ljubljana’s Summer Festival, or Gjøvik’s Fjellrock enrich cultural engagement. Campuses with research centers and student societies support a multicultural learning immersion, enhanced by connectivity to Paris and Berlin.
Join a global cohort to pioneer Industry 4.0 excellence, embrace Europe’s cultural diversity, and shape a sustainable future at a global industry vanguard. Apply now for the Meta4.0 Scholarship.
