Master’s Scholarship

The GOALS Scholarship, a leading study sports management Europe initiative, empowers international students to pursue a two-year master’s in governance and administration of Leisure and Sports (GOALS). Funded by the European Union’s Erasmus+ Programme, this GOALS master’s program is delivered by a consortium of five top universities: University of Lille (France), University of Lisbon (Portugal), Mykolas Romeris University (Lithuania), University of Gdańsk (Poland), and University of Luxembourg. As a global sports frontier, the program meets the rising demand for skilled sports managers, fostering a multicultural leadership odyssey to shape sports governance and policy innovation worldwide.

The GOALS master’s programs blend sports management theory, real-world applications, empirical research, and policy evaluation, covering sports sociology, marketing, communication, finance, event management, and digital transformation in sports. Semester 1 at Lille focuses on sports governance fundamentals and strategic planning. Semester 2 at Lisbon explores sports economics and event coordination. A one-week Summer School at Gdańsk between Semesters 2 and 3 offers industry panels, workshops, and networking with professionals from organizations like UEFA or FIFA. Semester 3 at Mykolas Romeris or Luxembourg allows specialization in sports policy, consultancy, or internships at global sports bodies. Semester 4 involves a master’s thesis, earning a joint or double degree. Taught in English, the curriculum achieves a 95% employability rate within 12 months in roles like sports managers, policy advisors, or consultants.

The GOALS Scholarship prioritizes global sports networking. Scholars access sports analytics labs, digital resources, and industry partnerships, engaging in research projects and professional workshops. The pre-program week at Lille includes seminars and cultural excursions to sites like Lille’s Grand Place, fostering cohort connections. With a mobility scheme across France, Portugal, Lithuania, Poland, and Luxembourg, scholars build cross-cultural expertise, strengthening the global sports ecosystem. Graduates are equipped to lead in sports organizations, with 10% launching ventures in sports tech or event management, aligning with the program’s mission to advance sports globalization.

Studying in Lille, Lisbon, Vilnius, Gdańsk, and Luxembourg City, scholars experience a multicultural leadership odyssey. They explore Lisbon’s Belém Tower, Vilnius’s Gediminas Castle, Gdańsk’s Neptune Fountain, or Luxembourg’s Bock Casemates, immersing in Europe’s heritage. Events like Lisbon’s NOS Alive, Gdańsk’s Jarmark Dominikański, or Vilnius’s Capital Days enrich cultural engagement. Campuses with student societies and career mentoring support a multicultural learning immersion, enhanced by connectivity to Paris and Brussels.

Join a global cohort to pioneer sports management excellence, embrace Europe’s cultural diversity, and shape the future at a global sports frontier. Apply now for the GOALS Scholarship.
