The EACH Scholarship, a premier study analytical chemistry Europe initiative, equips international students for a two-year Master’s in Excellence in Analytical Chemistry (EACH). Co-funded by the European Union’s Erasmus+ Programme, this EACH master’s program is delivered by four leading universities: University of Tartu (Estonia, coordinator), Uppsala University (Sweden), University Claude Bernard Lyon 1 (France), and Åbo Akademi University (Finland). As a global chemistry hub, EACH fosters international collaboration, driving a multicultural scientific odyssey to advance expertise in chemical analysis, environmental testing, and industrial applications.
The EACH master’s programs emphasize fundamental analytical chemistry, applied analytical techniques, separation science, mass spectrometry, metrology, sensors, electrochemistry, and nano-analysis. Year 1 at Tartu builds core skills in analytical methods and socio-economic impacts, leveraging Estonia’s Center of Analytical Chemistry. Year 2 offers specialization: Uppsala focuses on advanced separation science and mass spectrometry, Lyon on industrial analytical chemistry, or Åbo Akademi on chemical sensors and electrochemistry. A mandatory two-month internship with over 50 partners like Solvay, Bruker, or Neste in countries such as Estonia, France, or Spain provides hands-on experience in food analysis or pharmaceutical testing. Scholars earn a double degree, combining an MSc from Tartu with a specialized master’s from Uppsala, Lyon, or Åbo Akademi, achieving an 80% employability rate within six months in roles like analytical chemists, environmental analysts, or PhD researchers.
The EACH Scholarship prioritizes global chemistry networking. The annual Winter School, hosted in Estonia, Sweden, France, or Finland, offers mini-courses, networking, and mid-term evaluations, fostering a cohesive EACH community. Scholars access state-of-the-art facilities like LC-MS and ICP-MS at Lyon’s Master Analyse et Contrôle, collaborating with industry leaders like Perkin Elmer. The mobility scheme across Estonia, Sweden, France, and Finland enhances cross-cultural expertise, with 15% of graduates pursuing PhD programs or launching tech startups in chemical analysis, aligning with EU innovation goals.
Studying in Tartu, Uppsala, Lyon, and Turku, scholars experience a multicultural scientific odyssey. They explore Tartu’s Old Town, Uppsala’s Cathedral, Lyon’s Basilique Notre-Dame, or Turku’s Archipelago, immersing in Europe’s heritage. Events like Lyon’s Festival of Lights, Estonia’s Song Festival, or Turku’s Ruisrock enrich cultural engagement. Campuses with research labs and student societies support a multicultural learning immersion, enhanced by connectivity to Stockholm and Helsinki.
Join a global cohort to pioneer analytical chemistry excellence, embrace Europe’s cultural diversity, and shape the future at a global chemistry hub. Apply now for the EACH Scholarship!
