The DREAM Scholarship, a leading study renewable energy Europe initiative, empowers international students to pursue a two-year master’s in dynamics of Renewables-based Power Systems (DREAM). Funded by the European Union’s Erasmus+ Programme, this DREAM master’s program is offered by École Centrale de Nantes (France), Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (Spain), Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft (HTW) (Germany), and National University of Science and Technology Politehnica Bucharest (Romania). As a global energy vanguard, DREAM aligns with EU climate goals to advance renewable generation, immersing scholars in a multicultural innovation odyssey to shape sustainable energy futures.
The DREAM master’s programs integrate Power Systems, Smart Grids, Renewable Energy, Automatic Control, Power Electronics, Energy Storage, Microgrids, and Sustainable Power Solutions. Semester 1 at École Centrale de Nantes builds foundational knowledge in power system dynamics and control technologies. Semester 2 offers specialization options: HTW Berlin (Germany) focuses on smart grid integration, UPC Barcelona (Spain) emphasizes renewable energy systems, or Politehnica Bucharest (Romania) explores advanced control systems. Semester 3 allows deeper specialization at any partner university in fields like energy storage solutions or power electronics innovation. Semester 4 culminates in a master’s thesis, often with industry leaders like Siemens or Schneider Electric, earning a double or triple degree. Taught in English, the curriculum achieves a 95% employability rate within 12 months in roles like renewable energy engineers, grid analysts, or sustainability consultants.
The DREAM Scholarship fosters global energy networking. Scholars engage in internships, research projects, and industry workshops, collaborating with European energy firms and research institutes. Events like DREAM Innovation Symposiums enhance skills in innovation, problem-solving, and sustainability, strengthening the global energy ecosystem. With 30% of industry jobs projected in renewable energy by 2030, graduates are poised for impactful careers, with 15% launching startups in green technology or smart grids, aligning with the EU Digital Strategy.
Studying in Nantes, Barcelona, Berlin, and Bucharest, scholars experience a multicultural innovation odyssey. In France, they explore Château des Ducs de Bretagne; in Spain, Sagrada Família; in Germany, Brandenburg Gate; and in Romania, Palace of the Parliament. Events like Nantes’ La Folle Journée, Barcelona’s La Mercè, Berlin’s Festival of Lights, or Bucharest’s George Enescu Festival enrich cultural immersion. Campuses with world-class labs, digital libraries, and student societies support a multicultural learning immersion. Career mentoring and a global alumni network, alongside connectivity to Paris and Vienna, boost employability.
