The CoDaS Scholarship, a premier study data science Europe initiative, empowers international students to pursue a two-year master’s in communications engineering and data science through the Erasmus Mundus CoDaS program. Funded by the European Union’s Erasmus+ Programme and part of the Unite! alliance, this CoDaS master’s program is offered by five top universities: Aalto University (Finland), Grenoble INP-UGA (France), Instituto Superior Técnico (Portugal), TU Braunschweig (Germany), and Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (Spain). The CoDaS master’s programs cover electrical engineering, automation, programming, data analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, network security, Internet of Things (IoT), 5G/6G communications, signal modeling, cybersecurity, and distributed systems. Scholars spend Year 1 at a Home University (Aalto, Técnico, TU Braunschweig, or UPC) and Year 2 at a Host University (any of the five), earning a double degree. Specializations include machine learning at Grenoble or wireless systems at Barcelona, achieving a 95% employability rate within 12 months in roles like data scientists, telecom engineers, or AI specialists. Eligibility Criteria for Erasmus Mundus CODAS Scholarship:
1. Students must have completed their three years of bachelor’s degree.
2. Candidates cannot apply on the basis of previous master’s degree.
3. Applicants should be motivated to study and complete the master’s program in 2 years.
4. Applicants must study in 2 partner universities.
5. Students who have already received an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master (EMJM) scholarship are not eligible to get another scholarship through this program.
6. While studying for a master’s degree which is already funded by an Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters (EMJM), students cannot receive any other European Union scholarships.
7. Applicants should have already graduated or should be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree in fields related to communications engineering, computer science, electrical engineering or software engineering.
8. Students who have outstanding academic records in other fields like information systems, engineering, natural sciences, mathematics or physics will also be given a chance if they have enough background knowledge and skills in the required fields.
9. Applicants must pay a USD 39 registration fee.
