Master’s Scholarship

The Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship, a premier study in Hungary initiative, empowers international students to pursue Bachelor’s, Master’s, one-tier Master’s, Doctoral, and non-degree programs at top Hungarian institutions like Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) in Budapest. Launched in 2013 by the Hungarian Government and managed by the Tempus Public Foundation, this Hungary master’s program and beyond fosters cultural exchange, economic collaboration, and academic excellence. As a global education ambassador, it attracts scholars from over 90 countries across five continents, offering a multicultural academic odyssey through 1,200+ full-degree programs in fields like Engineering, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, Medicine, Arts, and Business.

The Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship delivers an English-taught curriculum, with options for Hungarian-language programs after a one-year language preparatory course. At ELTE, students engage in cutting-edge research in Psychology, Informatics, Education Sciences, or Humanities, leveraging advanced facilities like research labs and digital libraries. Engineering scholars at Budapest University of Technology and Economics explore innovative technologies, while medical students at Semmelweis University train in health sciences. The program’s bilateral agreements with sending partners ensure diverse fields tailored to each country, with an 85% employability rate within six months for graduates in roles like researchers, engineers, or policy analysts.

The scholarship promotes global academic networking. Its mobility scheme allows study at institutions across Budapest, Debrecen, Pécs, or Szeged, fostering cross-cultural collaboration. Annual conferences, workshops, and cultural events connect scholars with industry leaders and alumni, enhancing career readiness. The Hungarian language and culture course, mandatory for post-2020 entrants, deepens cultural immersion, aligning with EU internationalization goals. With 10% of graduates launching innovative startups, the program drives global impact, supported by partnerships with firms like Bosch and MOL Group.

Studying in Hungary, scholars experience a multicultural academic odyssey. Budapest offers Buda Castle, Fisherman’s Bastion, and Danube River cruises, while Debrecen boasts the Great Reformed Church. Cultural events like Sziget Festival, Budapest Wine Festival, or Debrecen Flower Carnival enrich engagement. Campuses with student societies and research hubs support a global learning immersion, enhanced by connectivity to Vienna and Prague. Hungary’s thermal baths and culinary heritage complement academic pursuits.

Join a global cohort to pioneer educational excellence, embrace Hungary’s cultural diversity, and shape a connected future with the Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship.
