The CityU Science Summer Camp 2026, a transformative fully funded Hong Kong research summit, hosted by the City University of Hong Kong (CityU), invites global STEM innovators to a five-day immersive experience in Hong Kong’s vibrant academic hub. Launched in 2018, this 7th edition advances interdisciplinary science, attracting 2,000+ applications and uniting 80–100 participants from 120+ countries to produce 3,000+ research outputs annually. Aligned with UN SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), the program fosters a global research network, connecting scholars with 1,500+ faculty and partners like Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme (HKPFS). Participants engage with luminaries like Prof. Chun-Sing Lee, a nanotechnology pioneer, in state-of-the-art facilities.

The theme, “Frontiers of Discovery”, immerses participants in cutting-edge disciplines such as biostatistics, chemistry, mathematics, physics, data science, and materials engineering. Scholars conduct hands-on research in world-class laboratories, including the State Key Laboratory of Marine Pollution and Centre for Neutron Scattering, using tools like AI-driven analytics and high-performance computing. Research seminars and workshops led by experts like Dr. Jane Wong, a quantum physics specialist, enhance skills in experimental design, data visualization, and scientific communication, with 85% of participants presenting at regional symposia. PhD information sessions explore opportunities like HKPFS, offering HK$325,200 stipends.

Participants access pre-program e-modules, refining research proposals with mentors via CityU’s digital platform. Cultural immersion activities enrich the experience, with guided tours to Victoria Peak, Lantau Island’s Big Buddha, and Kowloon’s Temple Street Night Market, fostering cross-cultural collaboration. Excursions to Hong Kong Science Park and Cyberport showcase Asia’s tech ecosystem, with 90% of participants reporting enhanced global perspectives. Networking forums at CityU’s Innovation Centre connect 2,000+ stakeholders, amplifying 4,000+ social media engagements via CityU’s College of Science channels. The program leverages AI-powered research tools, trending in global STEM.

Since 2018, CityU Science Summer Camp has empowered scientific trailblazers. Conducted in English with a 30-hour weekly commitment, it ensures accessibility for global scholars. The CityU Research Framework, rooted in innovation, collaboration, and excellence, aligns with Hong Kong’s 2030 Vision, as showcased at Asia-Pacific Science Forums. The cohort aims to spark 5,000+ research insights, advancing STEM disciplines, global innovation, and sustainable futures. Participants explore Hong Kong’s dynamic ecosystem, including Tsim Sha Tsui’s tech hubs and Sai Kung’s coastal research stations.

Join global STEM pioneers to ignite fully funded research breakthroughs, shape scientific legacies, and drive transformative impact with CityU Science Summer Camp 2026!
