Master’s Scholarship

The Chevening Scholarship, a transformative study in UK initiative, invites students from over 160 Chevening-eligible countries to pursue one-year master’s programs at premier UK universities. Funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), this fully funded Master’s UK program awards 1,500+ scholarships annually, fostering global impact pioneers who drive sustainable change through a transformative academic odyssey. Established in 1983, Chevening supports English-taught programs in International Development, Public Policy, Business Administration, Environmental Science, and Global Health, hosted at institutions like University of Oxford and London School of Economics.

The Chevening Scholarship empowers scholars to tackle global challenges through innovative research. Scholars at universities like University of Edinburgh and University College London, collaborate with world-class faculty on projects addressing gender equity**, climate resilience, and digital transformation. Since 1983, Chevening has supported 55,000+ alumni, including **18 heads of state and leaders in Amina Mehmood, who spearheaded the Girls’ Education Initiative. In 2023, scholars contributed 7,734 volunteer hours to community projects, setting new benchmarks. The program aligns with the UK’s goal to foster global leadership and cross-cultural collaboration.

The scholarship promotes cross-cultural synergy. Scholars connect with peers, faculty, and global experts from diverse backgrounds, engaging in leadership summits, networking forums, and cultural exchanges via the Chevening Alumni Network. The inclusive framework supports diverse perspectives, with 52% of 2024 scholars from underrepresented regions. Campus events, like London Climate Action Week, Edinburgh International Festival, or Manchester’s Exchange, enrich the dynamic academic experience, with 42% of scholars forming global professional networks. Chevening’s partnerships with 100+ UK universities and global entities in Canada, India, and South Africa enhance research collaborations.

Studying in London, Oxford, Edinburgh, or Birmingham, scholars explore landmarks like Tower of London, Christ Church, or Birmingham Library, immersing in UK’s cultural vibrancy. Events like Notting Hill Carnival, Glastonbury Festival, or Cambridge Literary Festival deepen engagement. UK campuses, with modern lecture theatres, research labs, and student hubs, support a global academic immersion, enhanced by connectivity to Paris, Brussels, and Amsterdam. The UK’s safe, cosmopolitan environment (QS Best Student Cities 2025) complements academic pursuits.

Join a global cohort to champion research excellence, embrace UK cultural diversity, and shape a sustainable future with the Chevening Scholarship!
