CERN Administrative Internship Banner

The CERN Administrative Internship 2026, a premier admin internship Switzerland, invites administrative innovators to explore a global admin frontier at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) in Geneva. This 2–12-month program, starting engages 50 international students from 25+ countries in a multinational hub. Founded in 1954, CERN, home to the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), pioneers scientific administration in fields like business administration, human resource management, translation, law, finance, logistics, accounting, communications, library science, information science and technology, audit, public relations, advanced secretarial work, science communication, psychology, and audiovisual production, guided by seasoned professionals.

The business administration internship Geneva offers practical experience in world-class administrative systems, supporting CERN’s mission to probe the fundamental structure of the universe. Interns contribute to high-impact projects, such as global procurement strategies, HR policy development, multilingual document management, financial auditing, logistics for scientific equipment, and stakeholder communications, tailored to their academic focus. The program features professional workshops, mentorship sessions, and administrative seminars, with 80% of interns forming global professional networks (CERN Report, 2024). Participants select preferred administrative areas via CERN’s Careers Portal, ensuring project alignment.

Interns engage in Geneva Innovation Forums, CERN Admin Summits, and European Policy Workshops, connecting with peers from Europe, Asia, Africa, North America, and Oceania. Cultural immersions include Lake Geneva boat tours, Chamonix day trips, Swiss watchmaking workshops, Geneva Jazz Festival visits, and UN Geneva tours, with 85% reporting enriched cultural perspectives. Industry engagements with WIPO, ILO, and Swiss financial firms provide insights into global administrative ecosystems. Interns present project outcomes at a closing showcase, contributing to CERN’s operational excellence.

The program operates in Meyrin, Geneva, a global research hub, with CERN’s 5,000+ administrative staff fostering cross-functional collaboration. Since 1954, 2,000+ CERN administrative interns have advanced global administrative frameworks, aligning with UN Sustainable Development Goals. Plans to expand ties with LSE, HEC Paris, and NUS aim to strengthen 2,500+ global partnerships. CERN’s English- and French-medium tracks ensure inclusivity.

Applicants select administrative fields, submit online forms, and may participate in virtual interviews. A hybrid track offers virtual administrative tasks for flexibility. Join CERN’s administrative pioneers to ignite professional innovation, forge global connections, and shape a transformative future with CERN Administrative Internship 2026!
