ASEF Young Leaders Summit is a fully funded Youth Summit from the Asia Europe Foundation for young leaders from different countries. Young people will get connected through the ASEFYLS Capacity Buildings which uses a holistic strategy for community involvement and leadership development that emphasizes various dimensions of social leadership, team leadership, and self-leadership. The theme of this year’s international summit is ‘Leadership & Society 5.0’. The screening procedure will ensure a non-discriminatory approach so that all participants have a balanced geographic representation without gender parity.

The idea behind this international leadership summit is a human-centered society that uses a highly integrated system of internet and physical space to solve social issues while also advancing economic development. ASEFYLS will investigate the type of leadership required in “Society 5.0” and how youth can prepare for a digital, ethical, and sustainable future. To prepare young people to step into leadership roles and improve society, ASEFYLS seeks to develop a spirit of exploration, creativity, and global awareness among them.

The Aisa Europe Foundation Summit is a fully funded conference for young individuals where they will meet other young fellows from Asian and European nations and will get a chance to engage in close, in-depth conversations during which they may ask each other questions and share knowledge. As future leaders who can propel society ahead, the ASEFYLS Youth Summit aims to instill in young people a spirit of global understanding, creativity, and curiosity. This youth summit will be of six months in total and the 1^st phase will be conducted online. The 2^nd phase will have In-person training. Participants have to choose one out of 2 options which include either being a part of the Asia-Europe Young Leaders Campus scheduled in Beijing, China, or the Asia-Europe Training Seminar on Youth, Digitalization and Intercultural Dialogue which is scheduled in Budapest, Hungary. The 3^rd phase will be the action phase where youth have to implement the learning done in this summit in their local communities.

Eligibility Criteria for ASEF Young Leaders Summit:

Applicants applying must:

•Be citizens of an Asian or European country.
•Have a leadership role in a youth organization.
•Be between the age bracket of 18-30 years.
•Have proficiency in both oral and written English language.
