UNESCO World Heritage Young Professionals Forum is a fully funded opportunity in India organized under the theme World Heritage in the 21st Century: Building Capacities and Exploring Opportunities for Youth. This youth forum will help young professionals become more knowledgeable and capable of protecting, maintaining, and advancing the cultural and natural heritage. They will look for ways to operationalize the World Heritage Convention for the twenty-first century, as important players in their local communities.

Along with discussing and learning in-depth information about the global ideas of sustainable development and world heritage, participants will also have the chance to become acquainted with the local Indian heritage and its management. The 46th session of the World Heritage Committee will hear the young professionals’ presentation of their Declaration at the end of this international Forum.

During this UNESCO Youth Forum, there will be a range of lectures, roundtables, debates, and site visits led by local and international experts. The young professionals will jointly evaluate the potential to maintain heritage with a strategy based on community involvement and collective participation.
