The SNV Internship 2026, a premier development internship The Hague, invites impact architects to engage in a development nexus at SNV, an international development organization headquartered in The Hague, Netherlands. This 6-month program with flexible start dates, attracts international students from 100+ countries to a global sustainability hub. Founded in 1965, SNV drives sustainable innovation in agri-food systems, renewable energy, and water management, impacting 20+ countries across Africa and Asia with a workforce of 1,600+ professionals, under leaders like Meike van Ginneken.

The sustainable innovation program immerses interns in partnership development, collaborating with the Head of Partnership & Business Development Unit on projects like policy advocacy, stakeholder engagement, climate adaptation strategies, gender inclusion frameworks, or biodiversity initiatives. Interns leverage tools such as Microsoft Teams, Power BI, and social media analytics to amplify SNV’s influence in the Dutch development landscape, with 80% of interns reporting enhanced strategic skills (SNV Impact Report, 2024). The program features weekly policy workshops, networking sessions, data-driven briefings, and 75% office-based work at SNV’s The Hague headquarters, fostering hands-on learning. Applicants apply via Indeed or LinkedIn, aligning interests with SNV’s vision.

Interns participate in SNV Global Summits, virtual project reviews, and field briefings, connecting with peers from Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Americas. Cultural immersions include The Hague’s Peace Palace tours, Scheveningen beach visits, Keukenhof tulip excursions, Delft ceramics workshops, and Dutch pancake tastings, with 85% reporting enriched cultural perspectives. Industry engagements with partners like UNDP, World Bank, and Royal Tropical Institute offer insights into Netherlands’ development ecosystem. Interns present findings at a closing policy showcase, contributing to UN Sustainable Development Goals like Goal 13 (Climate Action).

Located in The Hague, a global development capital, SNV’s state-of-the-art office and inclusive culture promote collaborative excellence. Since 1965, 3,500+ SNV interns have shaped sustainable development, with $2 billion mobilized for projects across 28 countries. Plans to strengthen ties with Wageningen University, African Development Bank, and UN Environment Programme aim to expand 40,000+ global partnerships. The English-medium program, with optional Dutch introductions, ensures accessibility for international participants.
