Eligibility Criteria for master’s degree Scholarship at Tokyo Tech:

•A candidate who has completed 16 years of education or expected to do before the deadline
outside Japan.
•A candidate who has graduated from a college or university based in Japan before the deadline
of enrollment.
•A candidate holding a bachelor’s degree or equivalent prior to the date of the application
deadline.
•A candidate whose country doesn’t require 16 years prior to complete a bachelor’s degree can
meet the requirement either by having one-year research experience after bachelor’s degree or
a candidate must be 22 years old before the date of enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria for PhD Degree Scholarship at Tokyo Tech:

•A candidate who has completed a master’s or expected to do before the deadline of deadline
outside Japan.
•A candidate who has completed a master’s from a college or university based in Japan before
the deadline of enrollment.
•A candidate must be 24 years old before the enrollment date.
•Only Japanese citizens who are not residing in Japan that would enable them to stay for a longer
period can apply.
