Master’s Scholarship

The Sophie Germain Scholarship, a leading study mathematics France initiative, empowers international students to pursue a one- or two-year master’s in mathematics and applications at University of Paris-Saclay and Institut Polytechnique de Paris. Funded by the Jacques Hadamard Mathematics Foundation (FMJH), this Paris-Saclay master’s program supports fields like Applied Algebra, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Statistical Learning, Quantitative Finance, Number Theory, and Optimization. Hosted on the Paris-Saclay Campus, a global math nexus, the program fosters research excellence, driving a multicultural academic odyssey to advance mathematical innovation.

The Paris-Saclay master’s programs offer specialized tracks tailored to global challenges. Mathematics and AI scholars at Paris-Saclay develop advanced algorithms, leveraging cutting-edge labs. Statistical Learning students at Institut Polytechnique explore machine learning models, while Quantitative Finance experts analyze financial systems. Number Theory researchers delve into cryptographic applications, and Optimization specialists tackle complex systems. Delivered in English, the curriculum achieves an 80% employability rate within six months in roles like data scientists, academic researchers, or financial analysts, supported by research projects and expert mentorship from CNRS and Inria.

The Sophie Germain Scholarship prioritizes global research networking. The annual Master’s Day features introductory lectures, mini-courses, and interactive sessions with PhD students and post-docs, fostering insights into mathematical research careers. Scholars engage in seminars, networking events, and collaborative projects, connecting with European research institutes. With 20% of graduates pursuing doctoral studies, the program offers pathways to a four-year PhD Track scholarship during M2, strengthening the global math ecosystem. Partnerships with tech industries drive innovation, aligning with EU digital goals.

Studying on the Paris-Saclay Campus, just outside Paris, scholars experience a multicultural academic odyssey. They explore Eiffel Tower, Louvre Museum, Notre-Dame, or Versailles Palace, immersing in France’s heritage. Events like Paris Fashion Week, Bastille Day celebrations, or Fête de la Musique enrich cultural engagement. The campus, with advanced research facilities, digital libraries, and student societies, supports a multicultural learning immersion. Language courses and career mentoring, alongside connectivity to London and Brussels, enhance networking and employability, empowering scholars to shape mathematical frontiers.
