The KMU Scholarship, a premier study in Taiwan initiative, invites international students to pursue undergraduate (4–6 years), master’s (2 years), or doctoral degrees (3–4 years) at Kaohsiung Medical University (KMU) in Kaohsiung, Taiwan’s southern hub. Established in 1954 as Taiwan’s first private medical university, KMU is a global health pioneer, delivering world-class medical education and innovative research. This KMU medical program, hosting over 5,000 students from diverse backgrounds, fosters a multicultural academic odyssey, empowering scholars to advance global healthcare and medical sciences.
KMU’s medical programs span the College of Medicine, Dental Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Life Sciences, Health Sciences, and Humanities & Social Sciences, covering fields like Tropical Medicine, Biomedical Science, Public Health, and Dentistry. KMU’s research centers foster innovation, with 15% of graduates launching initiatives in healthcare technology.
Kaohsiung, Taiwan’s dynamic port city, enriches the multicultural academic odyssey. Scholars explore landmarks like Lotus Pond, Cijin Island, and Pier-2 Art Center, immersing in Taiwanese culture. Cultural events, such as Dragon Boat Festival or Kaohsiung International Food Festival, blend tradition with modernity. KMU’s modern campus in Sanmin District, equipped with cutting-edge labs, teaching hospitals, and sports facilities, supports a multicultural academic immersion.
