The GLOBED Scholarship, a premier study education Europe initiative, equips international students for a 24-month master’s in education and international development through the Erasmus Mundus GLOBED program. Delivered by a consortium of four leading universities—Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) (Spain), University of Glasgow (Scotland), University of Cyprus, and University of Bremen (Germany)—this GLOBED master’s program fosters leadership in addressing global educational challenges. As a global education nexus, GLOBED immerses scholars in a multicultural academic odyssey, advancing sustainable development and social justice.
The GLOBED master’s programs cover education policy, globalization in education, development studies, social justice, comparative education, and educational equity. Semester 1 at UAB builds foundational frameworks, while Semester 2 at Glasgow, Cyprus, or Bremen deepens specialization in areas like policy analysis or inclusive education. Semester 3 includes a professional internship with NGOs, ministries, or research centers, and Semester 4 involves a thesis at a consortium university, earning a joint master’s degree. Taught in English, the curriculum achieves a 90% employability rate within 12 months in roles like education consultants, policy advocates, or NGO specialists.
The GLOBED Scholarship emphasizes global education networking. Scholars engage in case studies, workshops, and field projects with partners like UNESCO or Oxfam, fostering skills in critical thinking, teamwork, and communication. Events like the GLOBED Education Innovation Summit connect students with global experts, strengthening the global research network. Hands-on learning tackles issues like learning disparities, with 10% of graduates launching initiatives in education reform. Partnerships with European research institutes enhance career prospects, aligning with GLOBED’s mission to promote equitable education systems.
Studying across Barcelona, Glasgow, Nicosia, and Bremen, scholars experience a multicultural academic odyssey. In Barcelona, they explore Sagrada Família; in Glasgow, Kelvingrove Museum; in Nicosia, Tombs of the Kings; and in Bremen, Town Musicians. Events like La Mercè Festival, Glasgow’s Celtic Connections, Cyprus Wine Festival, or Bremen Freimarkt enrich cultural immersion. University campuses, featuring advanced research facilities and student societies, support a multicultural academic immersion. Integration support, language courses, and career mentoring, alongside Europe’s connectivity to London and Berlin, foster networking and employability, empowering scholars to drive global education innovation.
