The Doha Institute Scholarship, a premier study graduate Qatar initiative, invites international and Qatari students to pursue master’s and PhD programs at the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies (DI), a leading research institution founded in 2015 in Doha’s Education City. As a global knowledge catalyst, this DI graduate program offers 19 master’s and 8 PhD specializations across two schools: the School of Social Sciences and Humanities and the School of Economics, Administration and Public Policy. With a multicultural academic odyssey, DI fosters interdisciplinary research and leadership development, hosting 500+ students from 50+ countries to advance sustainable development in the Arab region and beyond.
The DI graduate programs deliver a student-centered, English- and Arabic-taught curriculum, emphasizing research excellence and policy innovation. Master’s programs include Public Policy, Development Economics, Clinical Psychology, Conflict Management, Media Studies, Linguistics and Arabic Lexicography, and Sociology and Anthropology. PhD programs cover History, Critical Security Studies, Political Science and International Relations, and Public Administration, among others. Public Policy scholars craft regional governance strategies, while Media Studies researchers analyze digital communication trends, leveraging advanced research facilities. With an 80% employability rate within six months, graduates thrive as policy analysts, researchers, or social impact leaders, supported by partnerships with Qatar Foundation and Al Jazeera Media Network.
The Doha Institute Scholarship champions global research networking. DI’s interdisciplinary approach encourages collaboration through research symposia, policy workshops, and international conferences, connecting scholars with global experts. The Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies, DI’s affiliate, enhances regional policy impact. Student societies and cultural events foster cross-cultural synergy, aligning with Qatar National Vision 2030. The program’s academic freedom and ethical research standards empower 10% of graduates to launch development-focused initiatives, contributing to UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Studying in Doha, scholars experience a multicultural academic odyssey. They explore Souq Waqif, Museum of Islamic Art, or The Pearl-Qatar, engaging with Qatar’s cultural heritage. Events like Qatar National Day, Doha Film Festival, or Aspire Zone Sports Day enrich immersion. DI’s campus, with digital libraries, research hubs, and collaborative spaces, supports a global learning immersion, enhanced by connectivity to Dubai, Manama, and Muscat. Doha’s futuristic skyline and safe environment (Numbeo Safety Index Top 5) complement academic pursuits.
