The KNB Scholarship, a premier study in Indonesia program, invites international students from developing nations to pursue bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degrees at one of 34 top-tier Indonesian universities. Officially named the Kemitraan Negara Berkembang Scholarship, this Indonesian university program supports 222 scholars annually, including 30 bachelor’s, 162 master’s, and 30 doctoral students. Hosted by institutions like Universitas Indonesia, Institut Teknologi Bandung, and Universitas Gadjah Mada, it positions Indonesia as a global education hub, fostering academic excellence and cross-cultural collaboration.
The KNB program offers over 1,000 Indonesian university programs across diverse fields, including Biology, Engineering, Economics, Computer Science, Public Administration, Law, Visual Art and Design, Pharmacy, and Disaster Management. Bachelor’s students explore foundational skills in Computer Science or Economics, while master’s candidates delve into advanced topics like Disaster Management or Biotechnology. Doctoral researchers tackle cutting-edge issues in Engineering or Public Administration, leveraging state-of-the-art facilities such as bioinformatics labs and innovation centers. Scholars engage in interdisciplinary projects, collaborating with faculty and industry partners like Pertamina, achieving a 90% employability rate within six months in roles like data scientists, engineers, or policy analysts.
A distinctive feature of the KNB Scholarship is its cultural immersion. Students participate in a one-year Bahasa Indonesia language training (BIPA) program if needed, enabling fluency for academic and social integration. This aligns with the program’s emphasis on multicultural academic voyage, as courses and research are often conducted in Bahasa Indonesia. Scholars present at international conferences, such as the Indonesia Research Summit, and contribute to research publications, enhancing their global academic profile. The program’s partnership with 34 universities, including Universitas Brawijaya and Universitas Islam Indonesia, ensures access to diverse academic ecosystems across Java, Sumatra, and beyond.
Indonesia’s vibrant, multicultural society enriches the KNB experience. Studying in cities like Jakarta, Yogyakarta, or Surabaya, scholars explore cultural landmarks like Borobudur Temple, Malioboro Street, and Prambanan. Events such as the Bali Arts Festival or Jakarta Fashion Week offer a multicultural academic voyage, blending tradition and modernity. Proximity to Indonesia’s tech and business hubs facilitates networking with global firms like Gojek, fostering career opportunities. The diverse student community, representing over 94 countries, creates a global academic network through events like KNB Cultural Exchange.
Join a dynamic cohort to drive academic innovation, embrace Indonesia’s cultural vibrancy, and shape global solutions at a global education hub. Apply now for the KNB Scholarship.
